Bouclay runs the billing side of your product: plans, subscriptions, usage, invoices, credits, failed-payment recovery and webhooks. You connect your own payment gateway account, call the Bouclay API from your server, and listen for Bouclay webhooks. Bouclay does the rest. Bouclay never holds your money. Every charge, refund and payout happens on your own gateway account, with your own keys. Bouclay tells the gateway what to charge and when, and keeps the records.
